Hey guys,

I work at a publishing and film music studio and are considering updating one of our rigs to El Capitan from Mavericks, although we are hesitant for any unforeseen issues that may pop up after doing so. Hopefully someone could give some advice on the consequences and any problems that may occur. The rig information is as followed:

Mac Pro 5,1 (Mid 2010)

3.33 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon

32 GB 800MHz DDR3 ECC

NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512MB

OS X 10.9.5

We run an extensive variety of software, samples, software synthesizers, interfaces/IO, plugins, and DAW, specifically Logic Pro X (10.2.0) and occasionally Pro Tools and Ableton. Does anyone have experience updating relatively older Macs with a host of softwares to El Capitan and if so what issues have occured? We are concerned about software validation issues, incompatibility with the OS, etc. etc. Any light that could be shed or information shared about the potential consequences of updating to El Capitan would be much appreciate -- Im sure there are other music and industry professionals would appreciate the information as gear starts to outdate itself.

Thanks ahead of time for your responses!
