Here's what I have: a dual G4 1.2 running Logic Pro 7.1. I recently got a hand-me-down G4 from my dad, along with a studio display.

I am excited at the possibility of having two monitors, and though I am waiting on a particular adapter to come, to make it work, that should be no problem.

However, when I look in my Logic book, it says that nodes must be G5s. Is this really true, or is it possible to use a G4 as a node? Is there any sort of work-around?

do a search on "node" or "nodes" there is a lot of feedback and posts on the topic.
In sort you can use a G4 and G4 as a node, no problem.

The computer used for node can be a G4. The thing is that it needs (they sugest) a Gigabit ethernet port.

Good luck,
