I am having massive cpu overload issues due to my improper bussing of tracks.

My process is as follows:

I go to my mixer, open an auxiliary track and then create a bus number and place a waves plugin on this channel strip.

When I do this, the tracks that I am bussing lose their ability to pan.

Can someone please tell me what I am doing incorrectly?

Thank you !
