Without any doubt Space Designer. It is the most used of all my plugs, I wouldn't imagine using any other reverb. Tape Delay is great and Bitcrusher rocks (great way to fatten a beat) and I seem to find more ways to use Tremolo all the time. They all have their uses, but none more so than Space Designer.

probably the space designer and guitar amp pro are my favourites as most of my mixing is done in analogue so compression and eq etc are normally done on the desk or with outboard gear. I like the stereo spreader too!

My fav is channel EQ. ;)
That's really basic and very transparent.

2nd fav is Comp. because it's also very transparent but when I wanted add some COLOR, I add other 3rd party's Comps. ;)

I use trackplug5 by Wave Arts...a LOT..it has everything you need eq,compression and gate to bring
out the best in your audio. (shameless plug for a plugin) go to www.wavearts.com for a demo...
reverb, multipressor, finalizer all are excellent as well and I find I can cope with apple's bunch, but
wave arts is totally awesome.

I like the Logic compressor a lot, its my first choice compressor. I use Space Designer and Gtr Amp a lot too.

I agree about Wave Arts too squeak. I also really like Cyanide 2...its another one of the ones I commonly use.

Space Designer, it'll have to be. I have it on a bus in my template, and once you've settled for a reverb you like, it's very convenient. That's actually a procedure I learned from this board :-). I don't use that much eq, but when I do, the native eq:s are just fine, especially the Channel EQ of course. Actually, I tend to use Apple's parametric eq some of the time as well. For compression, however, I totally swear by PSP Vintage Warmer, I think everything sounds better through it, I can't wait to hear their new mastering tool (not available for Mac-users yet).

channel EQ, for little touch ups.

this is the first time I've looked at my email in two weeks.

If you don't mind I will get back to the beach at St. Thomas, and my drink with the little umbrella in it.

I am always putting the compressor on things to add puch and even levels a smidge, but I also put a multipressor on the main bus so I can tweak the overall mix. Those are my most used plug-ins with the Fat EQ coming in at second.

Actually it's a toss-up between the compressor and the channel EQ.

I use a Drawmer 1960 as a preamp for most things but somehow I always need more compression on vocals, bass etc, and the good-ol' standard Logic compressor sounds fine.

I must admit I've taken to using the HPF and LPF a bit more instead of the channel EQ lately - keeps everything more solid.

As far as the effects I ENJOY the most in Logic at the moment - would have to be Space Designer and Guitar Amp.

Somehow Tape Delay always creeps in there as well ;o)
Stuff I use: G5, Powerbook, Logic Pro 7.1, ProTools, MBox, MOTU828, Athlon64, Echo Mona, Logic Platinum 5.5, Logic Education (for teaching - it's horrible!), Reason 2.5, Yamaha CS1x, Baby HUI, various MIDI interfaces.

I use the Stereo Delay and Tape Delay quite a bit. They sound very good and seem to work well on many different source types.

EQ & compression are a must - too bad they sound so digital!
While Space Designer is one of the best convultion reverbs out there - better than the Waves !
Also Multipressor & Limiter are a killer combination on the Master for a relatively commercial mix.
However they need better delays (like Echofarm) and fatter Compressors (like LA2A), not to mention some sweet & warm EQ (like Oxford plug-ins). While the soft synths are all mostly dance orientated - that is insulting to most "musicians". I only use EVP, as it is the most realistic/ warm! Logic would be even better if they had an "Inflator" plug-in, like Oxford, to analogue everything up - Logic sounds very tinny (digital) in comparison to Pro Tools!

Sorry - I had to get some stuff off my chest, & hopefully Logic will step up it's game!

Why would logic put in an La2a or any of the plugs you mentioned? Thats what the thirdparty developers are for, and they do a great job.
Logic plugs are some standard tools that come in all daws.

Compared to other DAWs logic plugins are way better. And did you know that this thread is NOT about comparing logic plugs to others. the topic is, What Logic Plugins Do You Use Most ?

Your arguments are off topic as usual, in order for you to start some rants as always.

Your right P, as always!
I agree, Logic does have some good standard plug-ins compared to other DAW's.
I was just hoping that they could be even better in the next version!

Space Designer for sure.......
I like the Phase Linear EQ.....Especially mastering with Waveburner......
Like Tobyond I like The tremolo....I finding myself using it a lot with Vocals......Punces them right out there...and with Rap it makes them sound more musical withou sounding unatural......
I'm using the Wave arts PS5 Plugs....and they don't seem to get in the way of the Logic Plugs....I like the combination...
But I am still exploring the Logic Plugs.......

Wouldnt the better question be 'What are your favourite Logic plugins?'

I think anyone who says they dont use EQ the most is probably kidding themselves or doing something wrong, no? :dknow:

Well.... do you rely only on logic plugins ? I sure don't. I rarely use the logics EQ or compression.
You can only vote once, and by catagory.
So.... no your thinking is incorect.

I voted for the reverb vote, mainly because I use Space Designer the most out of Logics plugs.

Channel EQ, most by far

Space Designer: its pretty, it's soooo pretty

Stereo Delay gets some good gametime

But the Spectral Gate is my vote for "Most Fun to Tweak!"

:victory:
