hi there....

i'm a bit dumfounded....how do i detect the tempo....i.e. do beatmapping of a .mov file? i'm writing the music for a short film and there is already a temp track in it. I figured i'd use the tempo's which are already in it as a guide. But i don't know where to find the desired audio region....it's embedded in the .mov file. I even tried going to back to the .mov file and copying the audio and trying to paste it into another audio track in my logic project....

ahhh!!! how do i beatmap a tempo which is already in the .mov file?

many many thanks for any pointers!!!

ps. if this info is needed:
i'm using logic 8.0.2
Mac Pro. 2 x 2.8 Ghz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
14 GB 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM
OS X 10.5.8
