I am new to forums and Logic Pro 9, so bear with me. I purchased a re-furbished Mac Pro Two 2.93 ghz Quad Core (8 core) Intel Xeon 6gb ram computer from Apple. Also purchased Logic Studio. When Logic pro 9 was loaded, I had no problems. Getting into the program I now have several issues. (My 90 day software support is up)

#1-In record mode, Logic prompts me with audio midi clock synch errors. It stops the session with a prompt. I have to hit continue and immediately with the pointer, engage the stop on the transport window. On re-starting (play mode) audio anomalies occur (slow down/distortion) In order to get the audio to get back to normal, I have to come out of the session and re-launch Logic.

Logic recommended that I update to the recent 9.1 version and also trash the Logic preferences, which I did twice. Audio midi clock synch errors are not occurring as frequently, but other issues have come up.

#2-When assigning single outputs in the inspector window, Logic
automatically assigns stereo outputs in the mixer causing routing
issues. When I try to fix the problem, Logic combines stereo
outputs in mixer to one mono. A true nightmare.

#3-The Count In function (in the metronome/record menu) does
not work at all.

#4-Creating a new Template or project aggravates the situation
causing more problems.

#5-Occasionally on launching Logic, an error message appears
"Unknown error-This application cannot continue because of error
coreFoundation Unknown Err" with a quit button.

#6-One time-A Project folder on the Desktop lost it's name after
quitting Logic and on re-launching Logic, a message box appeared
stating an unexpected error has occurred and Logic won't open.
The project had to be trashed because of corruption.

#7-Occasionally, on Launching Logic, it can't find the
Application.

#8-In the mixer window, sometimes Logic doesn't draw part of the
fader name at the bottom.

#9-When in record mode, sometimes the screen shows drop outs
(one bar at a time) making me think there are audio drop outs
occurring. On stopping the session, screen is re-drawn. Tracks
seem to be okay. Session has to be re-done.

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. Logic Tech Support wants to charge $200.00 per call. I’m about ready to go back to Digital Performer and trash Logic.

Whats your audio interface? I would look there to fix your audio/midi errors.
Logic Studio 9 | OS X 10.5.8 | 2GHZ Quad Mac Pro | 3GB Ram | Apogee Symphony PCI-e | Apogee AD16X | Apogee Mini DAC | Logic Control & Extender and Mackie Control C4

My audio interface is I/O's Apogee AD-16X. Apogee DA-16x. Sound card is Symphony 64 PCIe card. Last night, I just downloaded new drivers from Apogee. We'll see if that helps.
