Have just got the full set of Sonnox plug ins for Mac AU and im very impressed. I have a question which im hoping someone can help me with though.

When putting fx on the master buss for the final stage are you meant to use the Inflator or the Limiter or both?? The manual for both suggests you use each plug in for getting those peaks up there and a nice large level ready for cd but I cant find any info as to whether or not these 2 can be used in tandem. Its not that im trying to win the loudness war with the next guy but want to understand so I can at least compete!! I can seem to get a good level with the inflator and then when I add the Limiter im getting some distortion and vice versa. I feel sure they should be able to work together though.

any help much appreciated.

I dont know.... I don't think I would use both. but who knows.

I own the Limiter and its is my main go to limiter when mastering in house projects.

If you were to use both, what order do you think they should go in? Does it sound good when you use them both. Does one do the job? Use other commercial references to hear the difference in loudness

As far as competing. If you want to compete bring your stuff to a real mastering engineer. cuz true mastering is not done in the box nor in the control room of a tracking studio or the bedroom of the little guy.
Its done in a well tuned room with all sorts of juicy analog gear.

Mixing - Logic Pro X | OS X 10.8.4 | 3.4GHZ Quad Core Hackintosh | 16GB Ram |

Studio Tracking - Logic Pro 9.1.8 | OS X 10.6.8 | 2GHZ Quad Mac Pro | 6GB Ram | Apogee Symphony PCI-e | Apogee AD16X | Apogee Mini DAC | Logic Control & Extender and Mackie Control C4 and a boat load of other cool stuff i use in my studio Static Productions
